Embarking on any journey is always exciting, adventurous, and mind boggling. One has the butterflies and curiosity when they think of going to a far-flung place, even if it’s for all the right reasons.
This travel post is a reminiscence of such a journey. The picturesque locations, tasty food, and lovely and hospitable people all made this journey such an exciting and unforgettable one.
The staycation was scheduled for Le Farm in Lonavala. The route would initiate from Mumbai from where we intended to start our journey to Le Farm.
We started off our journey from Mumbai on a brisk and fresh morning. Our initial stop was when we halted for a quick bite at Panvel, MC Donald. One can simply can’t resist a good bite at the famous American fast food chain. After satisfying our hunger and appetite for some delicious burgers we then headed to Le farm. The journey itself was fantastic but everyone involved was simply waiting to arrive at Le Farm.
We arrived in the evening only to be welcomed by pleasant weather and a soothing setting. Our first agenda on the checklist was to have some piping hot pakodas and masala chai. No journey is complete if one does not enjoy the local spicy delicacies. By this point, McDonalds was but a distant memory. The aftertaste of the local dishes had overcome the feeling of the burgers.
I stayed at Le Farm for two days, but those two days felt like a lifetime of adventures and pleasantness. Le farm has 6 BHK spacious rooms. The mightily built rooms was a thing to behold.
The interior is designed as to satisfy royalty and it sure does. Massive paintings and architecture were of the utmost standard and quality. The Farm itself is huge and can be seen as far as the eye can see. Its view of the nearby lake means for romantic afternoon strolls and relaxation. The lush green garden was maintained to the highest precision, making one obliged to have a breather on the fresh and soft grass.
Live BBQ in the cool and chilly night was followed by a scrumptious dinner. Guests were treated to dishes prepared by elite chefs. Tastes of all kinds were catered to and were treated to an outstanding display of hospitality. The night was then concluded and the next morning was in mind when wrapping up an eventful day.
Next day morning we had delicious misal pav in the breakfast followed by the magnificent farmhouse tour. This was no ordinary farmhouse. Organically and patiently grown onions, tomatoes, cashews, chilies were just some of the things that amazed the tourists. The massive scale was enough to bewilder everyone and the farm house no stone let unturned when achieving this.
Mango picking was then enjoyed at the farm house. Like hunters, we then devoured our juicy fruits. The afternoon then saw us experiencing authentic Maharashtrian lunch. After another mind boggling meal, it was time for departure. An exciting and fulfilling journey had come to an end with many stories and experiences.
