Day two of Lakme Fashion week was a fusion of traditional Indian crafts and weaves with the theme – “Sustainable & Indian Textiles day “ It was time to celebrate the rich Indian handloom and textile industry.
Indiacollective showcased an emerging theme focused on sustainable design filled with the fashion trends . An exhibit of dresses matched with shirts made by handwoven indigo dye at Maku. Whereas Injiri’s collection was clean and neat differentiating in whites and black. The Aish Life collection was a hybrid of monochrome designs made by Pashmina and khamir cotton.

Paromita Banerjee’s imagination was a sheer delight to see Bengal handweaves like Jamdani and Malkha Khadi and block prints.
